Autumn Wedding Photoshoot in Bute Park took place with Hannah B Photography and a selection other fabulous wedding suppliers.
In September 2017, a group of local wedding suppliers came together to organise a a fun shoot. The goal was to have a fab day out on site generating original content that would showcase our work.
The day started at 6am, dry and bright. Nothing was going to stop us getting ready. We had two models, two different looks and we were aiming to do a showcase of various relaxed and classic styling. Miriam Colette has recently competed in Miss Wales 2017. A blonde, natural, beauty with curves to kill.
Our second model Jennie Jones is new to the modelling industry but as a professional dancer she was well able to move her body and pose for this role. Naomi Amber MUA was all setup to start makeup at the early hours of Wednesday morning.
We got the models into their first Aire Barcelona wedding dresses and we headed for Bute Park at 8am to start shooting.
We setup our changing location in the educational centre and we enjoyed all the fabulous locations that Hannah B Photography had planned out in advance. Flora Salem Floristry had made up bouquets and confetti in advance but unfortunately could not join us on the day.
We worked as a team as Hannah also took direction and asked what type of shots we wanted to capture also. It was great having input as many photographers have their own idea of what they want but as a team shoot it worked well for everybody. Naomi was on hand also all day uploading to Instagram stories while we changed and fitted the models from one dress to the next.
We mainly concentrated on Luna Novias and Aire Barcelona wedding dresses as Luna was our new designer collection and Aire is the older and bolder sister to Luna. All by Rosa Clara. being the main dealer for both these labels across South Wales we knew it was important to showcase these dresses in a special light.
The beauty of Bute Park as the location was that it is well known, has beautiful scenery. The goal was to get natural pictures with the autumn park ring the focal point. The leaves and colours of the shrubs were fabulous. It is iconic to pick such a great location that has a history in Cardiff and can be related by everybody. Our looks were very versatile as we aimed to get as much out of our half day of shooting. We were up against the clock as rain was due at 1.30pm and with muddy grounds and samples from the shop we had a time deadline to work too.
The rustic vibes of a city park were amazing and we enjoyed every moment of it. Cardiff City’s Bute Park provided a beautiful selection of rustic colours which were perfect for the shoot we needed and Hannah did an excellent job of capturing the details we all wanted to capture. Hannah’s work is a mix of subtle colours and moody grey shots but very natural story telling.
